AP Exhaust Products44836 Exhaust Tail Pipe

The bends and joints in this pipe are of terrible quality. The tight bends have huge amounts of crimping and folding which I am sure greatly limits the exhaust flow. The welds or fusions between each separate piece of exhaust pipe are obvious and very rough. This is a low quality part. I would spend the extra money to buy a higher quality part or one that uses mandrel bent pipe.

It was a perfect fit on my 1996 jeep Cherokee sport. The turn down part looks funny compared to stock but I cut it off and bought a tip that matched the stock one.

Worked perfect on the 1998 Jeep Cherokee

Direct replacement for 98 Jeep Cherokee.

Fit is fine on a 1998 XJ. Previous one lasted 4.5 years until the hanger broke (rusted) off during a muffler replacement. This is on the cusp of being too short of a lifespan for a non-stainless tail pipe; probably had ~ 50k in northeast US miles on the previous one. Cheaper part than OEM, there are really only a few options for aftermarket tailpipes; this or the Walker one. The Walker would have required me to remove the rear hanger, as it is a one fits many application. The AP 44836 is an exact fit. Don't forget to order two 2 1/4" clamps for the install of this . . . make sure to get the heavy duty ones. I've only been able to reuse an old clamp a handful of times.
