These are great for what they are
I bought these in all black, in both sizes. I ride a cargo bike with a huge flat open type basket. I carry a lot of stuff and was tired of messing with bungie cords. These are great for what they are... they have just enough give to keep things put and still allow you to adjust the compression. You can use them in any scenario you would use a traditional bungie cord. The best part is they are looped at the end without hooks, which allows you to secure them without tying a knot. I plan to get D ring carabiners to use on the back of my bike for easier on and off, since I don't use straps int he back as often. Since I carry stuff everyday on my front basket, I keep 2 of the small sizes for securing back to front and a large one to secure across the load. You would not believe the amount of stuff this allows me to carry with no worry of losing anything along the way.I simply tie off any excess after securing the load. About 1/4 of the strap is elastic, the rest is a high quality, durable webbing. The adjustability is what makes this product so amazing. Bungies work fine if you the know the exact length you need for every occasion, which i rarely do...which means I collected a grip of different sized bungies and end up bring them all on camping trips etc, which meant a bag of tangled mess.I plan to keep a few of my best bungies and toss the rest now that I got these bad boys!

Great straps
I have had roc straps for years. I use then to hold a cooler to a trailer I tow behind my motorcycle . The elastic started to deteriorate, so time fir new ones, I didn't hesitate, these are a great product.

This is what you want for attaching pack to sissy bar of motorcycle.
I have been using bungee cords and compression straps to secure bags to my motorcycle for years now. After a full loop compression strap broke while securing my bag to my sissy bar, and I couldn’t find a bungee cord that was the perfect length I was frustrated and started researching the best option as a substitute. I quickly discovered rok-straps and ordered a couple of sets. I ordered these, and the shorter (12”-42”) set. This set is much wider and definitely made for a heavy load like a fully packed duffel bag, but will hold anything big or small. This is the absolute best way to secure stuff to a motorcycle and I wish I discovered them sooner!!! They are so convenient and easy to use. They are way better than bungee cords because they are adjustable so you will always have the perfect length. They secure to a mounting point with a loop, this allows you to unclip the strap and both sides stay in place so you can quickly remove and replace your bag or whatever it is you are securing (no more throwing the bungee on the ground as you catch your bag from falling off). The compression strap I was using was just one big loop, so I had to hold my bag in place as I wrapped the compression strap around my load and sissy bar, everything about a compression strap is inconvenient. I highly recommend this product for chopper enthusiast who enjoys adventuring with a big old pack attached to their sissy bar. That’s all I can vouch for because that is all I have used them for so far, but after using them I foresee dozens of other applications that these will be perfect for.Edit: I use the 1" wide version to secure my surfboard to my roof rack and they are perfect. No damage to surf board, super fast load and unload, handles highway speeds (I was cruising at 80mph for a while) with no noise or vibration. Also want to add that I always have a set of the 42" (5/8" wide) on my motorcycle which is perfect for securing my jacket, or a backpack or a bag or a spare part, or even a spare tire. 👌🏼

Great straps with many uses
I am very surprised by the functionality of these straps. I had read many great reviews and thought they would occasionally come in handy. But I have found more uses then I ever expected. Both on and off the motorcycle. They are very durable and well made, able to stand up to heavy use. The elastic/rubber section seems to offer just the right amount of flexibility. The only tricky part is removing them when they are under tension. The best way is to loosen the straps first, as opposed to 'unsnapping' the buckle. Which can lead to a plastic buckle snapping back at you.The ends are meant to loop onto any available post (I have used shock and rear footpegs on the motorcycle), and tension over your object you are trying to tie down. Things feel very secure once properly lashed down.I also discovered they are perfect for attaching paddleboards and surfboards to roof racks on cars. A quick girth hitch onto the bars and a pull on the strap. Boards are not going anywhere. It is always so hard to properly tension standard straps down onto certain objects. I now keep one pair on my motorcycle and another pair in the car.

Rok straps are great
I bought Rok straps after reading several recommendations on motorcycle forums. I used them for a trip from Virginia to Ohio and back, totaling over 800 miles. I strapped a large duffel bag onto the passenger seat and a small duffel bag on the luggage rack. The Rok straps were easy to install, easy to use and easy to undo. They held both bags (see the picture I uploaded) very securely. The bags did not move or shift around while I was riding. It was also easy to get in and out of the bags when I needed to with the quick release buckles. I highly recommend these straps.**Added 9/29/2011**I used these straps again on a 8 day, 2,800 mile motorcycle trip to Canada a couple weeks ago and they worked without flaw. My travel companion used a set as well. We had no issues with them at all. I highly recommend them.

Works great
I used these on the pillion seat of my 2023 ZX6R. They wrap around the frame inside and the buckles are just the right length to stick out from the seat. Straps work well to tie a full face helmet to my pillion seat. Works great for what I needed.
