Drymate Bird Cage Mat 36 x 48 Charcoal

I have tried several solutions for under our birdcage. We are getting our floors replaced so I really needed to find something that worked well, and was robovac friendly. This mat is PERFECT!! I was skeptical at first, with no lip on it to stop debris from traveling. I have been amazed! The debris largely stays on the mat with minimal exception. It sweeps easily, my robovac can run right over it without it bunching or catching in the vac. It sticks to the floor and doesn't move around, even when I roll the cage over it (as I do 2x daily, I put our bird by the window for daytime and back in our family room in the evening). Stop searching, this mat is what you're looking for! My only wish is that it came in other colors - otherwise it's perfect!!

That's a great mat to use under bird cages. We used to put big sheets of paper on the floor under cages. It was impossible to vacuum clean them, the bird food pieces were easily moved all over the floor. We put these mats under each of our three big cages, I attached corners with little pieces of two-sided adhesive tape, now vacuuming is not a problem. We haven't washed mats yet.

I needed something to put on the floor under my African Grey's cage. His poop droppings were ruining the floor. This worked out great. I've washed it in the washing machine and air dried it outside, that worked out great! I've also taken it outside and hosed it off and let it air dry outside and that worked out great as well. The under side has a rubbery feel which keeps fluids away from the floor. This works so well for what I need it for. I'm going to buy another one.

Washes but collects hair and lint like a lint roller.

These are 36” x 48”, so after buying one and realizing that i loved the product, but needed a larger one, I ordered a 2nd one. I now have an mat area of 72” x 96” which allows catching of seed and feathers for the 36” x 24” cage. You might think that one mat would have sufficed, but there’s no extra catching area with only one mat. At least not for my bird. The material is thinner than I thought it would b me, but after using it for a few weeks, I’m glad it was not thicker. Haven’t washed it yet, but I vacuum it every day and am so happy with my double purchase.

It is good for catching food and dandruff. Easy to sweep off. But the poop does not come off in the wash like advertised.

This mat is great for catching detritus from my bird. I have not yet washed it, so i cannot comment on how it holds up in the wash. However, it has been vacuumed often and still looks brand new. We keep a layer of newspaper over it to catch the droppings, so it really has never been soiled.
