Submersible Aquarium Thermostat Fish Tank Heater 500w for Freshwater Tropical

Had 2 of these, in a none glass tank in my shed.One rusted through and made the water live, giving me a large, sever, electric shock.The other looked fine, but noticed the tank temp was rising too high (this is 6 months after the first failed), so pulled it out to inspect and found it rusting in the same place the previous one failed (not to mention it stuck on). So binned it.Dont risk it, its junk.

Not impressed. At. All. Barely heats the water. It may be a faulty one but the "heating" is only indicated by the little orange light that occasionally comes on. By "occasionally" I mean hardly ever. I wanted 25 C the heater gives 15C, switched it up and six hours later so far no change. I don't think it has a thermostat and is only a timed heater. Luckily I don't have my Oscar Cichlids yet otherwise they would be stone dead. Now shopping for a decent Oscar proof heater that works.My fish tank is 4 x2 x2 and this wattage is to cover that and higher.

We had high hopes for this heater, but after a while of it working without any problems, it must of over heated over night and we woke up to find all our female fish dead.Not great, happy Amazon were happy to refund us.

The temperature setting on both units seems to be faulty. I have to set control to maximum to get them to come on and then only when water temperature is low. The reason I have not returned them is that I am just using them to quickly heat the tank during water changes.Would not use as main heater.

Bought this from Kettering Koi and ponds to provide some winter heat for a pond filter.Quite unexpectedly the stainless steel tube corroded very quickly and the item failed. Unfortunately, I discovered this when I had an electric shock. This item only lasted about 5 months. Avoid.

Had heater for 2 months, it is making my metal racking live so when you touch it you get a shock, also the so called stainless steel is rusting, I bought 2 of these and both are rusting

No suckers in box. I placed the heater inside the aqarium but it didnt light up. I have one of these in another tank and that ones perfect....so I'm not slating Hidom. It's just that (I'm not one for complaining) I was a bit gutted really.

Does the job and looks good. But the distance between the glass and the heater is too much. On of my Mollys got stuck and hurt then died a day later. Fishes are not as smart as us!
