Q: Could I stick this vertically to a wall and it would still be able to diffuse properly?

Great question! It would be hard to apply the oil as it would run off and the stone inside the jar is not attached so it could fall out and break, we would not recommend using this diffuser vertically

Yes, you are able to remove the diffusing stone from the metal container if you wish.
