Nice surprise!
First thing I want to tell you: I'm not an expert. I started to smudge my place with sage and other holy herbs only few years ago. And it's only a couple of years ago that I learned that after you smudge the place to get rid of the negative energy, you need to burn palo santo to fill the empty space with positive energy. When I opened the package of this product, the smell was much stronger than any other palo santo stick I used in the past. I wasn't so sure about it. Then, when I lit it up, the smoke was dense black. Again, I wasn't so sure about it. But after making a tour of the house, it left a very pleasant smell and I feel the place as been cleaned and is more light and joyfull. They describe the dense black smoke in the item description. I believe what they say about their product is accurate. From the point of view of a novice, I recommend this product.

100% genuine palo santo!
100% genuine sticks of palo santo. Without breaking the seal, you can smell themYes, these sticks should burn extremely slowly; they are roughly 5 inches long apiece. It's crucial for those who are new to burning palo santo wood sticks to realize that they are not incense sticks. It is not designed to ignite and burn continuously. For a whole forty-five seconds, you must "roast" the end of the stick that you want burned by holding a lighter against it. There will be a red cherry at the end of the stick when the flame goes out, whether it goes out by itself or you blow it out. The stick will emit thick, gray smoke. To make a place smell like palo santo, move around the house and waft the perfume into those spaces. The stick will extinguish itself after burning for a few minutes, leaving you to inhale the scent of palo santo wood. When the cherry is finished, you can put it in a stone or ceramic basin to cool off if the stick is still blazing. You cannot place the stick down on a surface, so be sure you get some form of heat-resistant bowl to rest it in.Especially this palo santo burns really nicely. The aroma is smoky with a top note of very faint citrus and a trace of (nearly) cedar. It smells rather strong. With a few minutes of burning per day, I discovered that each stick from this box lasts roughly four weeks in my home.

Smells wonderful and burns cleanly. They have a good size to them and the package holds a lot. Has somewhat of a cedar, woodsy smell with a hint of citrus. Very pleasant.

[Updated] Not even close to 135g...
On a whim, just three days after my initial review went live I decided to check back in on this product. Giving it a three-star review score had been nagging at me a bit, but my tolerance towards misinformation is just about zero. This one really felt like an honest mistake, and I was quite impressed that Eva & Isla had already quickly and quietly corrected the issue. To show my appreciation, I have decided to change my review to the five-star score I would have gladly given it originally, were not for that error.===ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW===Okay, here's the thing... as of the time of my order and the time of this review, this listing is for 135g of palo santo. It's not even close to that. Instead, I'm looking at 80g, or 60% of the listed weight. That weight difference falls grossly outside of what I would deem acceptable, even for a product like this which is prone to fluctuations in weight based on moisture/humidity. It was probably just an oversight in the creation of this listing, but I don't currently see any other offerings on Amazon of a ~12 pack to back that hypothesis up.Misreported weight aside, this feels to me like premium palo santo. The ease as which it takes to ignition suggests a high resin content, and the aroma certainly backs that conclusion up. This further belabors how I wanted I want to score this item, as I believe it to actually be reasonably well priced for the cost-to-weight ratio. My hope, dear reader, is that by the time you find this review the listed weight will have already been changed and this warning can safely be ignored, as this is quite literally my only gripe with the product.
