Works but has a very annoying hum. Certainly louder than any other model I’ve used in the past. I would have sent back and tried a different model if my son wasn’t so into “recycling” that he’d recycled the packaging before I’d had a chance to test it.The unit only turns on (and the hum only starts) when something is plugged in to the sockets, but as this is used for an electric toothbrush, it’s plugged in all the time...

At first it only hummed when in use but now it hums all the time and is constantly very warm though not in use. Unfortunately it's 5 days over a year so I doubt they will give free replacement?Update - they replaced it without quibble - very good service. At the moment it only hums when charging. If the problem of humming all the time happens to this one then I shall have to get a more expensive replacement. Hopefully it will be alright. Interestingly the paper that came with it says it has a 10 year guarantee

this item is well worth it . It was much cheaper than going to Wicks and buying it there, works well.Also come with installing instruction. it is all according how your building is made for how hard it can be to install, there for I have given it 3 * other propertys will have 5*

Hums like a nest of bees and gets inordinately hot to the touch.I've uninstalled it and spent the extra on an MK unit which is virtually silent and cooler to the touch.

Easy to install and a reasonable price but the transformer is noisy. Continuous buzzing when in use can understand if using lower voltage socket but 240v going in and 240v coming out not sure why that needs to go through the transformer. But hey it works and it's cheap.

Had to return as was too bulky as replacement for original socket. Annoyingly had to pay postage to return although I feel depth described was misleading.

Great product but difficult to find the backing box the right depth.
