just what I needed to make a repair

As others have said, you'll need the Molex crimping tool OR a lot of patience and precision. First, please note that the male pins are installed in the female looking connector which is the "receptacle" side (or board side) of the Molex connectors. If you try this the other way around, the pins won't fit. Second, the Mini-Fit Jr insulation crimp is designed to wrap around the insulator and not pinch in too it like most other crimps. To this end, you'll need to trim down the insulation crimp fins a bit if you are using a generic crimping tool. Finally, the jaws on the Knoweasy Molex Crimper 1424A are too wide for the male version of these pins. It will work but you have to almost crush the insulation fins when preforming the wire crimp otherwise you'll crush the locking pins on the back of the pin.

I bought this item to make repairs to an antenna controller. It had exactly what I needed to make the repairs I needed.I would also get the extractor tool for easy removal.

Update. Today I put together the regular Molex connectors I got from and electronics supply store. No problems inserting the pins. I then went back to these connectors and tried different configurations. What I found...the male pins fit in the female bodies and the female pins fit in the male bodies. The pins also have to be "clocked" correctly for the pins to slide into the body. Once this is figured out they went together fine. Very frustrating. Instructions would have helped. I did go to Youtube and other sources to try and figure out what was wrong. No luck. Regular Molex connectors and Weatherpac connectors I have used work with the male pin going into the male bodies and vice versa.I bought these Molex connectors to wire some devices with 22 ga wire. The pins that came with the connectors will not slide into the body. Very frustrating. I ended up buying some Molex connectors from an electronics distributor to get some that work.
